
RUDIE DELANGHE
Rudie Delanghe is a Belgian ceramic artist and master potter renowned for his expertise in large-scale wheel throwing and Raku firing techniques. Trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Delanghe has cultivated a distinctive style that merges traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics.
Beyond his studio practice, Delanghe is a dedicated educator, conducting masterclasses and workshops across Europe and Asia. He has taught at institutions such as the Karel de Grote University College in Antwerp and has led workshops at Gaya Ceramic Arts Center in Bali and the International Center for the Arts in Italy. His teaching focuses on advanced throwing techniques, kiln construction, and the nuances of Raku firing, inspiring a new generation of ceramic artists.

On the Main Stage, Rudie Delanghe will showcase his mastery of scale and precision as he throws a large lidded vessel using at least 12kg of clay. Watch as he balances strength and control to bring massive forms to life.
Rudie will also share his expert trimming techniques, revealing the fine details and finishing touches that give his pieces their flawless shape and signature style.
On the Performance Stage, Rudie will spend two days working on several large pieces simultaneously, offering a rare opportunity to witness the fascinating process of his work taking shape on the wheel — from start to finish.
