MOONDOBANG
Moondobang is a ceramics studio founded and led by Moon Byung-sik, a Korean artist renowned for his mastery of white porcelain (baekja). Based in Yeoju, a historic center of Korean pottery, Moon’s work is rooted in traditional techniques yet guided by a contemporary sensibility. His minimalist forms—ranging from moon jars to everyday vessels—embody both purity and quiet strength. While his early practice explored iron painting and surface decoration, he now focuses on the serene elegance of unadorned porcelain. Through international workshops and exhibitions across East Asia, Europe, and the United States, Moondobang continues to share the timeless beauty and philosophy of Korean ceramics with the world.
