Over the course of the four-day festival, a total of six masterclasses will be conducted. On the Performance Stages, you have the rare opportunity to witness the full creation process of ceramic pieces — from the first touch of clay to the final form. Each artist shares their unique techniques in real time, offering insight into a wide range of practices, from refined wheel-throwing methods to the construction of monumental, multi-day Onggi vessel.

You are invited to observe up close, ask questions, and engage directly with the artists as they work. The Main Stage at ClayZieFest will host captivating demonstration sessions each morning and afternoon. Equipped with multiple camera angles and large flat screens, the stage allows everyone in the room to clearly observe the intricate hand movements and techniques of the artists. These immersive, three-hour sessions offer a deep dive into each artist’s process, with live commentary and detailed explanations that bring their craft to life.

In the evening, the energy intensifies with back-to-back sessions where artists face various challenges in front of a live audience. These high-energy performances promise to deliver an unforgettable, show-stopping experience — a celebration of skill, spontaneity, and artistic expression.

At the Fire Stage, the raw power of flame takes center stage as custom-built kilns ignite a series of dramatic, live firings. You will witness captivating performances featuring Raku and Naked Raku techniques, where the unpredictability of fire transforms each piece into a unique work of art.
